The Project
We wish to set up and run Village Knowledge Centres in and around Bangalore Rural. These VKCs would act as a nodal centre for knowledge connectivity of villages. Such a centre would create benefits to the village as: nj baseball
- Source of knowledge (new ways of farming, best practices) and information (e.g. information on employment opportunities, prices of agricultural products)
- Provision of services (e.g. internet banking, booking tickets & reservations)
- Educating children and adult about computers and internet
- Making available information on the village to the external world which can result in better governance and awareness of issues in the village
